Match Report
Leicester Grammar School Girls-U13A vs  Stamford
On: Thursday, 23 Nov 2017
Venue: at Home

On Thursday 23rd of November the U13 a team played in a fixture against Stamford school. The first half was unlucky as Stamford manged to score an early goal leaving us to chase right from the start. Some great play from Elena Bensi, Tara Bahra and Emma Williams meant that we kept it to only one goal. However out of the blue Stamford some how managed to get the ball into the back of the net even with some great defending from Liana Brookes and myself. Our goalie Micha Raja was really good and made a couple of really nice saves. So at the end of the first half the score was 2-0 to Stamford. At half time we knew what we had to do. It was not lost yet. We went in to the second half nice and strong with a couple of great carries from Sophie Levy and some great work in the D by Nya Patel lead us to our first goal. All was going well until we accidentally gave away a short corner to Stamford and unfortunately they managed to score off it. This meant the score was 3-1 to them. Another great effort in the D from us meant that we managed to score another goal making it 3-2 to them. Our time was running out to score another goal. We were unlucky as the game finished 3-2 Stamford. A really great effort to everyone and also a big well done to the other teams that also competed against Stamford on Thursday. Thank you to Mrs Hutchinson for organising and coaching us in this fixture.
