Match Report
Leicester Grammar School Girls-U14A vs  U14 County Tournament
On: Friday, 06 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

The U14s started the county tournament well with a 2-0 victory against Welland Park. One goal, scored by Anna Kendall, was from a short corner and the second one, scored by Emily Bennett, was due to great play in the 23. In the following game, we played Ratcliffe. Great tackles from the defence meant we could keep the score to 0-0. We then played Uppingham losing 2-0. Everyone played amazingly but the Uppingham side were stronger. Next we played Oakham. It was extremely close but we lost 1-0 due to a penalty flick. After we played Ivanhoe drawing 0-0. It was a good match and we had lots of chances but were unable to score. Our last game was against Loughborough who we had played earlier in the week losing 4-0. We tried our best but unfortunately lost. Overall we came 5th in the tournament and the player of the tournament went to Harriet Prior for her excellent play down the right. Well done to Uppingham for winning the tournament. Thank you to Dr Kendall and Mrs Laybourne for coaching and umpiring.
