Director of Rugby's report - Nottingham High School

After disappointing results against Bablake, LGS faced a tough weekend against Nottingham High School. All the junior sides showed resilience, with the U14s losing narrowly 12-0 and the U13A side putting in their best performance of the season so far, scoring some superb tries. At home our U15 sides, weakened considerably by requests for absence, were both defeated but the A side battled well in a game ultimately decided by one score. A shortened 2nd XV game due to injury ended with LGS leading comfortably and the 1st XV fixture saw the hard work put in over previous weeks reap its rewards with an outstanding 48-28 victory. This should be a performance that builds confidence and belief in what we are truly capable of going in to the second half of the term. Good luck to the U15s today in their Schools Cup fixture against King Edward's, Fiveways, kicking off at 2:30.
